- Ben attended school at Scottsville, Albemarle County, Virginia but finished in Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia because of the family's move after his father's death in 1920. He was employed at age 18 by Libby Owens Ford Glass Company in Kanawha City, Kanawha County, West Virginia . He worked at LOF for 38 years, becoming a Salary and Wage manager. His job required his family to move to Ottawa, Illinois 1943-1944 and Toledo, Ohio in 1945. The family moved to Perrysburg, Ohio (suburb of Toledo) in 1946. Poor health forced his retirement at age 55 in Toledo, Ohio. He had open-chest surgery to replace his mitral valve about 1962. He moved to St. Petersburg, Pinellas, Florida with his second wife and daughter. (Ben R. Londeree, Jr.).
Ben graduated from Charleston High School on 3 June 1927.

After his marriage to Dorothy Morrison, they first lived at 1620 McClung Street, Apartment 5 in Charleston and subsequently moved to 4410 Venable Avenue in Kanawha City, which became a neighborhood in Charleston.

In 1943 the family moved to Ottawa, Lasalle County, Illinois for about one year. They shared homes with the John Morrison family (Dorothy's brother). At first they lived in a house at 404 First Avenue in Ottawa and then moved to a very large home on North Bluff Street on the outskirts of Ottawa.
In 1944 the family moved back to Charleston, West Virginia for about 1.5 years. During this time they lived in three different homes. 700 block of Grant Street, 622 Grant Street, and Mathews Avenue (?). Grant Street was in the valley, but Mathews Avenue was well up the north hillside.
After that, Ben made many business trips to various Libbey Owens Ford locations (Ottawa and Shreveport, Louisiana come to mind) in his role as Salary and Wage Administrator.
In 1945 the family moved to 1148 Radcliff Drive, Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio about 1 block from the Toledo Zoo.
In late 1946 the family moved to a five acre farm on Simmons Road, 1.5 miles east of Perrysburg, Wood County, Ohio. It was nicknamed "Puppy Acres". Perrysburg is a suburb SW of Toledo.
Prior to the divorce from Dorothy, Ben moved to an apartment in Toledo.
After his marriage to Rose Smith, they lived in an apartment in Toledo for several years.
Then they moved to a home at 3064 Hopewell Place a few blocks north of the University of Toledo in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio.
Then they moved to a home in Sylvania, Lucas County, Ohio, a suburb NW of Toledo.
He had open-chest surgery to replace his mitral valve about 1962 at the Cleveland Clinic.
He moved to 8241 27th Avenue, St. Petersburg, Pinellas, Florida. Ben died here in 1975.
A letter to his first wife, Dorothy, in 1971 had a return address of Apt. 802, Columbia Towers, 4725 Cove Circle, St. Petersburg, FLA 33708.
At his death in 1975, his trust included the house at 8241 27th Avenue and the condo at 4725 Cove Circle, 802 Columbia Towers. Rose lived at the condo after Ben' death.
