57 1900 census showed that Garfield lived in the Scottsville area as a laborer. 1920 census listed a son John who was 16. Therefore JGL, Sr. may have been married prior to Minnie. The 1910 census showed Garfield, Minnie, and her son, Hershel, living with Garfield's mother in the Scottsville District of
Albemarle Co., VA. Minnie was Garfield's cousin, Mary Jane Londeree Bacon's daughter. In the 1920 census Garfield lived at 207 B St. in Lynchburg, VA. 1930 census listed James and Nora as living in Lynchburg, VA and he worked as an operator of an electrical machine.

58 1900 census showed that Thomas was living with George Londeree. 1910 census showed a Thomas Knight, age 21?, living in Norfolk married to Annie with a young son and another Thomas Knight , age 25 & born in SC, living in Norfolk with Mary Felton. (On Soundex - need to check actual census record for age) Thomas was not living at the time of his sister, Betty, died - 1963 according to her obituary. KNIGHT, Thomas Henry (I47686)
 
59 1900 census shows birth date as Feb., 1892. W.A. Londeree gave 9-May-1892. 1n 1935 Walter lived in Lynchburg according to his mother's obituary. In the 1920 census he rented at 302 Withers St. in Lynchburg, VA and worked as a railroad brakeman. There appears to be confusion about the spelling of his middle name: Alett, Alette, and Aylette. In 1925 when his father died he lived in Lynchburg, VA. 1930 census listed him and Sarah as living in Lynchburg, VA and he worked as a conductor on a railroad. 60 1910 census gave Rosa's age as 28 which would mean a birth date of 1882. The 1920 census listed her age as 41 for a birth date of 1878. Eva Walker Londeree Adcock stated that she thought that Rosa was born in the home currently occuppied by Mary Frances McCormickn Langhorn Rd., near Esmont, VA.
When her sister died in 1963, Rosa lived in the Scottsville area. The 1900 census listed her residence in Porter's Precinct, Scootsville Magisterial District, Albemarle Co., VA. 1930 census listed her living in District 13, Scottsville, Albemarle Co., VA and she was a farmer.

61 1910 census listed John as 44 years old. In the 1920 census he owned a farm in Porter's Precinct of the Scotsville District of Albemarle Co., VA. He listed no occupation and his son Thomas J. took care of the farm. In the 1900 & 1910 censuses John and Rosa lived in the Scottsville Magisterial District of
Albemarle Co., VA. John was listed as owning a farm. 1910 census showed that this was John's second marriage and Rosa's first. A tombstone in the Scottsville Cem. lists him married to Alice Butler Phillips & son James d. 1897

62 1910 census lists Marcha as the wife of Dolphus and 1920 census lists Marjorie 1910 census age was 32 and 1920 age was 38. First child was listed as Melma in 1910 at 4 years of age vs. Thelma at age 13 in 1920. At the time of her mother's death Marsha was living in Lynchburg, VA. He was a boarder with John Miller in the James River District of Buckingham Co., VA and his occupation was listed as farming. 1930 census listed him and Mattie living in District 11, Schuyler, Fluvanna Co., VA.

(Marriage register) The 1910 census showed that Dolphus and Marsha rented a home in the Elon District of Amherst Co., VA. Doofus was a brother to Dee Wood.
